PROFESSIONAL QUALITY / CORE FUNCTION: Fibre-reinforced SBR rubber strip with integrated polyester fabric inserts, designed for demanding industrial and commercial sealing, damping, and protection tasks. The embedded textile reinforcement significantly increases the strip's tensile strength and dimensional stability compared to unreinforced solid rubber, making it suitable for applications subjected to mechanical stress, vibration, or continuous load.
MATERIAL & QUALITY: Manufactured from SBR (Styrene-Butadiene Rubber) compound in black with smooth surfaces on both sides. Depending on the selected thickness, the strip contains either one fabric insert (2 mm thickness) or two polyester fabric inserts (3–10 mm thickness). The material weight is approximately 1.5 kg per millimetre of thickness per square metre. SBR rubber offers good abrasion resistance, weathering stability, and reliable elasticity across a broad temperature range for general-purpose technical applications.
ADVANTAGES: The polyester fabric reinforcement provides superior tear resistance and load-bearing capacity. The strips are highly adhesive-compatible and can be bonded to nearly any clean surface using a suitable rubber adhesive. Custom cuts can be made on-site with a sharp utility knife; for straight edges, a guide rail or template is recommended. The material is weather-resistant, resilient, and retains its flexibility over extended service periods.
AREAS OF APPLICATION: Suitable for use across industry, logistics, construction, agriculture, automotive workshops, mechanical engineering, plant construction, and domestic projects. Typical functions include protective matting, substrate decoupling, vibration isolation, acoustic insulation, impact protection, sealing of doors and gates, wear protection on scraper bars, and fabrication of custom gaskets and sealing strips.
STANDARDS & TESTING: These SBR rubber strips are intended for general-purpose technical applications without elevated requirements for chemical media resistance or extreme temperature exposure. A product information sheet covering handling and storage is available upon request from diconfa.
TECHNICAL DATA: Material: SBR solid rubber, fabric-reinforced with polyester inserts. Colour: black. Surface finish: smooth on both sides. Weight: approx. 1.5 kg per mm thickness per m². Thickness tolerance: +/- 10 %, minimum +/- 0.2 mm. Width tolerance: +/- 1.5 %. Length tolerance: +2 %. Note: new rubber carries a characteristic odour which dissipates over time; for indoor use, extended airing outdoors (flat, frost-free, shaded) is recommended. For odour-sensitive indoor environments, EPDM rubber is available as an alternative with significantly reduced odour.
VARIANTS: Available in widths from 20 to 500 mm, thicknesses from 2 to 10 mm (1 fabric insert at 2 mm, 2 fabric inserts at 3–10 mm), and lengths from 200 to 10000 mm. A comprehensive selection of width-thickness combinations is offered to match specific project requirements.
