The crystal-clear, durable sealing profile offers excellent robustness and flexibility – ideal for long-lasting sealing. FUNCTIONS: The T-profile seal provides reliable sealing for shower doors, folding doors, side doors, or folding walls of shower enclosures and bathtub screens. It is resistant to frequent opening and closing as well as moisture and temperature fluctuations. VARIANTS: The insert seal is available with a width of 6 mm and a sealing range of 14 mm. Ein Dichtungsprofil ist ein längliches Dichtungselement mit einem gleichbleibenden Querschnitt. Es wird beispielsweise in eine Nut eingeschoben, auf eine Kante aufgeklemmt oder zwischen zwei Bauteilen eingelegt und dient je nach Ausführung der Abdichtung, Dämpfung oder dem Kantenschutz.

Zu den häufigen Ausführungen gehören Einschubdichtungen, Rundschnüre, Lippenprofile, U-Profile, T-Profile und Kantenschutzprofile. Welche Profilform geeignet ist, hängt von der vorhandenen Nut, Kante und Einbausituation ab.

Vergleichen Sie Form und Maße des alten Profils beziehungsweise der vorhandenen Aufnahme. Wichtig sind unter anderem der Profilquerschnitt, die Breite und Tiefe der Nut, der benötigte Durchmesser, der Klemmbereich und die Gesamtlänge.

Dichtungsprofile können unter anderem aus PVC, NBR, EPDM, Silikon oder weiteren Elastomeren und Kunststoffen bestehen. Die Materialien unterscheiden sich in ihrer Elastizität, Temperaturbeständigkeit, Witterungsbeständigkeit und Eignung für verschiedene Medien.

Eine Einschubdichtung besitzt einen Profilfuß, der in einen vorhandenen Führungskanal beziehungsweise eine Nut eingesetzt wird. Sie kommt beispielsweise an Duschkabinen, Glas- und Kunststofftüren, Klappen oder anderen Bauteilen mit geeigneter Profilaufnahme zum Einsatz.

Rundschnüre werden unter anderem als Dichtung in Nuten, als Fugenfüller, Abstandshalter oder Dämpfungselement eingesetzt. Die Eignung hängt vom Werkstoff, dem Durchmesser und der erforderlichen Verpressung ab.

Viele Dichtungsprofile lassen sich mit einer scharfen Schere, einem Cuttermesser oder einer geeigneten Profilschere kürzen. Das Werkzeug muss zum Material und zur Profilstärke passen, damit eine saubere Schnittkante entsteht.

Ob eine Verbindung wasserdicht wird, hängt nicht nur vom Profil ab. Entscheidend sind auch Material, Passform, Verpressung, Stoßstellen und der gesamte Aufbau der Verbindung. Ein feuchtigkeitsbeständiges Profil macht eine fehlerhaft ausgeführte Verbindung nicht automatisch wasserdicht.

Für Anwendungen mit Mineralölen, Kraftstoffen und Fetten kommen häufig Profile aus NBR infrage. Die konkrete Beständigkeit muss jedoch anhand der Materialqualität, der Temperatur, der Konzentration und der Einwirkdauer geprüft werden.

Ein Dichtungsprofil besitzt einen definierten, häufig speziell geformten Querschnitt und wird meist in eine Nut eingesetzt oder auf eine Kante aufgeklemmt. Ein Dichtungsband ist überwiegend flach beziehungsweise rechteckig und wird häufig selbstklebend auf eine Oberfläche aufgebracht.
