PROFESSIONAL QUALITY: This extruded acrylic glass sheet in opal white provides a milky, frosted appearance with 25 percent light transmission. Manufactured from high-grade PMMA, the panel is precision-cut by CNC machinery to deliver exact dimensions according to your selected size. The material is comparable to branded cast acrylic products and serves as a superior, lightweight alternative to conventional glass.
MATERIAL AND QUALITY: The sheet is made from extruded PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate), a thermoplastic known for its outstanding optical properties, high mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Each panel is delivered with a protective film applied to both sides, which must be removed before use. This dual-sided film reliably prevents scratches and surface damage during storage and handling.
ADVANTAGES: The opal white acrylic sheet is fully resistant to UV radiation and sunlight, ensuring that it remains free from yellowing and retains its colour stability for many years. The material offers high impact resistance, making it significantly more shatter-proof than standard glass. It is lightweight, easy to machine, and can be recycled efficiently. The frosted surface effectively diffuses light, making it particularly well suited to backlit applications and decorative installations.
APPLICATIONS: Typical uses include furniture construction, protective screens, splash guards, surface covers, picture frames, machine guards, model building, wind barriers, LED lighting diffusers, illuminated signage, exhibition and trade fair construction, and general crafting projects. The panel is suitable for both interior and exterior installations.
STANDARDS AND TESTING: The PMMA material is UV-stabilised and tested for long-term weather resistance. It meets the requirements for outdoor use, retaining its structural integrity, clarity, and colour under prolonged exposure to sunlight and varying climatic conditions.
