Vierkantstahl ist ein massives Stahlhalbzeug mit quadratischem Querschnitt. Breite und Höhe des Querschnitts sind identisch. Er wird beispielsweise im Metallbau, Maschinenbau und für verschiedenste Konstruktionen eingesetzt.

Ein Vierkantstab ist ein stabförmiges Vollmaterial mit quadratischem Querschnitt. Besteht er aus Stahl, wird häufig von Vierkantstahl, Stahl-Vierkantstab oder Vierkantprofil aus Stahl gesprochen.

Ja. Bei diconfa können Sie den Vierkantstahl in verschiedenen Querschnitten auswählen und auf die benötigte Länge zuschneiden lassen.

Der aktuell angebotene S235-JR-Vierkantstahl ist in Querschnitten von 5 × 5 bis 30 × 30 mm erhältlich. Die Länge kann derzeit zwischen 10 und 2.000 mm konfiguriert werden.

Aktuell wird Vierkantstahl aus S235 JR beziehungsweise Werkstoff 1.0038 angeboten. Der Werkstoff ist auch unter der älteren Bezeichnung ST37 bekannt.

Typische Einsatzbereiche sind Rahmen, Halterungen, Stützen, Geländer, Tore, Maschinenbauteile sowie Konstruktionen im Metallbau, Fahrzeugbau und in Werkstätten.

Vierkantstahl besitzt einen quadratischen Querschnitt mit gleicher Breite und Höhe. Flachstahl hat einen rechteckigen, flacheren Querschnitt, bei dem die Breite größer als die Materialstärke ist.

Vierkantstahl ist massives Vollmaterial. Vierkantrohr besitzt dagegen einen Hohlraum und eine bestimmte Wandstärke. Beide Profilformen können deshalb für unterschiedliche Konstruktionen geeignet sein.

Der aktuell angebotene S235-JR-Vierkantstahl wird von diconfa als gut biegbar, umformbar, zerspanbar und schweißbar beschrieben. Die konkrete Bearbeitung sollte auf Konstruktion und Anwendung abgestimmt werden.

Unbehandelter Stahl besitzt keinen dauerhaften Korrosionsschutz und kann bei entsprechenden Umgebungsbedingungen korrodieren. Für Außenbereiche oder feuchte Umgebungen kann daher eine geeignete Oberflächenbehandlung erforderlich sein.
