diconfa NBR/SBR rubber sheet DIN A4 or A5
MATERIAL: diconfa rubber sheets made of NBR/SBR are available in DIN A4 (200x300 mm) and DIN A5 (150x200 mm). They can be easily cut or further processed. The sheets are manufactured in industrial quality (Made in EU) and available in thicknesses from 1 mm to 30 mm. The surface is smooth, the underside has no adhesive layer. NBR/SBR is highly resistant to oil, petrol and fuels, making it ideal for such applications. QUALITY & PROPERTIES: The sheets are low-odor, permanently UV-resistant, waterproof, resistant to acids and alkalis, and abrasion-resistant. Hardness: approx. 70 +/- 5 Shore A. Elongation at break: 250%. Tensile strength: 3.5 MPa. Operating temperature: -40°C to +100°C. NBR/SBR offers excellent chemical resistance to oil and fuels for industrial and technical use. SURFACE & TOLERANCES: Smooth on both sides, cutting tolerance +/- 3 mm. The sheet can be cut by hand using a utility knife; templates or guides help ensure precise work. It can also be bonded to almost any material using a suitable adhesive (dry, dust-free and grease-free surface recommended). No airing-out is required. FUNCTIONS & APPLICATIONS: Versatile use for protection, insulation, decoupling, vibration damping, anti-slip applications, impact protection, buffers, stops, seals, pads, safety mats and gasket sets. Suitable for industry, logistics, construction, crafts, home and garden, workshops, model building and many other fields – especially where contact with oil or fuels may occur. WARNINGS: Use appropriate cutting tools and handle with care during cutting. Bond only on clean, dry and grease-free surfaces.

Properties & Benefits of NBR Rubber Mats

NBR (nitrile rubber) was specifically developed for use in oil-exposed environments. The material remains stable and resilient even with direct contact with oils, greases, and many chemicals. At the same time, NBR mats offer high mechanical strength and good abrasion resistance.

  • Excellent resistance to oil and fuels
  • High mechanical strength
  • Smooth, double-sided surface
  • Resistant to many chemicals
  • Durable and robust

Typical Areas of Application

NBR rubber mats are frequently used in industry and workshops:

  • As flooring in areas with oil contact
  • As a base for machines, compressors, and pumps
  • In production facilities where lubricants are present
  • As a protective layer for floors, workstations, or technical installations

Frequently Asked Questions

NBR is significantly more resistant to oils, fats, and fuels. SBR offers a good price-performance ratio for general-purpose applications, while EPDM is better suited for weather-resistant outdoor use.

Only to a limited extent. NBR is less UV- and ozone-resistant. For applications with constant sun exposure, we recommend EPDM.

Typically, they withstand temperatures from –20 °C to +100 °C. This makes the mats suitable for technical applications involving higher temperatures.

Yes, they withstand many chemicals and lubricants. However, there are limitations with strong acids or solvents.
