Custom Plastic Sheets – Technical Precision for Professional Applications

Plastic sheets are among the most versatile semi-finished products in modern manufacturing. They are lightweight, robust, weather-resistant, and, depending on the material, offer additional benefits such as high temperature resistance, chemical resistance, or excellent electrical insulation. With our precise cuts, time-consuming rework is eliminated – each sheet is produced to be directly incorporated into your construction.

Overview of Our Plastic Sheets

PTFE Sheets for the Highest Chemical & Thermal Requirements

PTFE is one of the most powerful plastics available. It is almost completely chemical-resistant, temperature-resistant, low-friction, and electrically insulating. PTFE sheets are suitable for sliding bearings, seals, laboratory components, aggressive media, or demanding technical constructions.

Silicone Sheets – Flexible, Temperature-Resistant & Hygienic

Silicone sheets are soft, elastic, and remain dimensionally stable even at high temperatures. They are ideal for seals, food technology, medical technology, thermal applications, outdoor areas, and anywhere material purity and durability are required.

Advantages of Our Plastic Sheets at a Glance

Our custom plastic sheets offer clear technical benefits:

  • Precise cutting without waste or material loss
  • Choice of numerous plastics such as PTFE, silicone, Teflon, polystyrene, PVC, acrylic, or POM
  • High durability and long service life
  • Smooth, clean edges thanks to modern processing
  • Chemical, temperature, or UV resistance (depending on material)
  • Dimensionally stable, hygienic & durable
  • Custom-made and small series possible

The wide variety of materials makes it possible to select the right plastic sheet for every technical requirement.

Application Areas of Plastic Sheets

Plastic sheets are used in almost all technical areas:

  • Mechanical engineering & jig construction
  • Construction and technical components
  • Electrical and insulation technology
  • Laboratory, medical, and food environments
  • Chemical, pharmaceutical, and plant engineering
  • Covers, seals, sliding surfaces
  • Prototype construction and technical modeling

Due to their low weight and easy processing (sawing, drilling, milling, gluing), plastic sheets can be used particularly flexibly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Custom plastic sheets offer the great advantage of being precisely tailored to the required dimensions – without waste, rework, or additional tools. Especially in technical applications, mechanical engineering, laboratories, or individual constructions, millimeter-accurate cutting allows for immediate further processing. In addition, a wide variety of materials such as PTFE, silicone, PVC, acrylic, polystyrene, or POM are available, so each sheet can be optimally adapted to mechanical, thermal, or chemical requirements.

The variety of materials is one of the greatest advantages of this product category.

  • PTFE sheets impress with extremely high chemical resistance and temperature tolerance.
  • Silicone sheets are elastic, heat-resistant, and ideal for sealing or sanitary areas.
  • Teflon sheets are perfect for sliding surfaces and friction applications.
  • Polystyrene sheets (coming soon) are lightweight and easy to process.
  • PVC or acrylic sheets offer high dimensional stability or optical transparency.
  • POM sheets are particularly low-friction and mechanically durable.

This way, every project can get the right material – from prototypes to industrial components.

Plastic sheets are used in almost all technical areas. They serve as covers, sliding plates, sealing surfaces, pump or machine components, electrical parts, or elements in model building. In laboratories, they are valued for their chemical resistance, and in food applications for their hygienic properties. They are also used in hobbies and DIY projects, such as model making, displays, or interior fittings. Due to their easy processability (sawing, milling, drilling, gluing), their range of applications is extremely versatile.

At Diconfa, the sheets are cut on state-of-the-art machines and produced to millimeter precision according to customer specifications. This allows even tight manufacturing tolerances to be achieved. Each sheet receives clean edges and is prepared to be directly incorporated into technical constructions. Special formats, small series, or unique thicknesses are also reliably produced.

It entirely depends on the chosen material. Materials such as acrylic, silicone, or PTFE are highly UV- and weather-resistant and are therefore also suitable for outdoor use. Other plastics, such as polystyrene or PVC, are primarily intended for indoor use. By selecting the right material, every application – indoor or outdoor – can be reliably covered. If in doubt, it is worth checking the material description or seeking direct selection advice.

Yes. Most plastics can be easily further processed – by sawing, drilling, milling, sanding, or gluing. Materials like acrylic are particularly easy to shape, while PTFE, due to its slippery surface, requires a bit more technical know-how. Nevertheless, all materials can be reliably adjusted if trimming or fine processing is needed.

In many applications, technical plastics replace traditional materials such as metal or rubber. Reasons include their low weight, corrosion resistance, insulating properties, and, in some cases, high chemical or thermal resistance. Plastic sheets also allow for complex shaping and are much easier to process than metal. In areas such as mechanical engineering, plant engineering, or medical technology, they have therefore long become standard.
